  1. Embryo donors and recipients find each other through matching programs or their IVF clinic.
  2. The cost of donor embryos is usually lower than donor eggs since egg donors are typically compensated.
  3. Donors’ and recipients’ relationship can be known or unknown, but experts stress the importance of donor children being able to connect int he future.
  4. The underlying egg and sperm donor contracts (if any) need to be checked to confirm permissible donation to third parties.
  5. Recipients typically pay for the donation contract.
